Rock Fracture And Bedding Analysis

Fracture Description, Structural Interpretation, Bedding Analysis . . . Fractures Fracture logging in core:  origin, condition, type, length, width, mineral fill, structure, oil stain. Fracture density logging (from core). Core and fracture orientation (using downhole surveys, downhole images, borehole orientation, etc). Graphical data display with stereonets, rose diagrams (e.g. similar to examples at right), and histograms. Interpretation of causative stress regimes (from fracture patterns in core and/or downhole images). Interpretation of ambient stress regime from pattern of induced fractures (core and/or downhole images). Bedding Identification of bedding type (cross-bedding, ripple bedding, shale bedding, etc.).
